Inside Recruiters Mind-1
Friends am starting this new series of posts called “Inside recruiters mind”. Here I will share with you “How a recruiter thinks”. This will help you a lot in your career. This is the first article in the series…
Do you know that your average tenure (Total years of experience / Number of jobs) has a direct impact on your selection – both positive and negative?
Positive.
If your average tenure is between 5-8 years then you have the right mix of stability and varied market exposure.
Negative.
If your average tenure is between 1-3 years, you are a job hopper and unstable.
Negative.
If you have spent more than 12-20 years in one company then you have a shortage of varied market exposure and low-risk appetite.
Solution.
If you have changed or not changed jobs frequently due to unforeseen circumstances and you come in the above negative brackets then you must have a strong justification clearly mentioned in your CV.
But please do not lie – most of your lies can be caught by seasoned recruiters.
